Navigating the Publication

The interface of the publication is divided into 4 areas:

  1. Menu – access user settings, views, export options, configurations, help, as well as other PolyAnalyst applications.

  2. Report Header – includes the report name and the application logo.

  3. Canvas – this is the body of the report. Here you can view, analyze and interact with components.

  4. Sheet Panel – switch between available report sheets and customize their layout.

Menu

For signed-in users, the menu includes the following options:

  • In the user-specific section edit your profile, manage settings, access homepage or particular PolyAnalyst application, and select preferable language.

  • To open the list of publications, select Go to dashboard.

  • To introduce changes to the report, select Edit report. This option is available only for users that have corresponding rights.

  • Create, manage and apply views in the Views section.

  • Access the sharing information in the Share section. Users that have the corresponding rights can also enable/disable guest access.

  • Download the publication either partially or in full as a separate file by selecting Export to file.

  • To contact technical support, select Help.

  • To change the user or sign out, select Log out.

Report Header

The report header is displayed only if it is enabled on the Report theme tab (button report theme) in the Report Editor. You cannot edit or customize the header in the publication.

Canvas

On the canvas, you can interact with components, apply filters and perform drill-down.

To access options of the context menu, right-click the component. The range of options available for particular component depends on the properties configured in the Report Editor.

Sheet Panel

The position and availability of the sheet panel is controlled by the Display sheet tabs option on the on the Report theme tab (button report theme) in the Report Editor.

Users can switch between two display modes by clicking the button in the left corner:

  • Click button sheet mode dots to replace sheets tabs with dots;

  • Click button sheet mode names to display sheet names.

Alternatively, click button disclose on the left window border to expand the sheet panel:

Here available report sheets are displayed as a list. To pin the panel, click button pin in the footer.
