General information

The Scatterplot node portrays trends and patterns using a scatterplot, a two- or three-dimensional graph showing the intersections between one or more continuous or categorical variables. The intersections are referred to as data points. PolyAnalyst is capable of graphing 3 continuous variables with 3 overlay variables. Overlay variables modify the data markers (shape, size, and color). Scatterplots can help visualize trends such as the increasing or decreasing frequency of a value over a period of time. The graph can be included and displayed in a web-report.

Flowchart connections

The Scatterplot node requires a single incoming parent node which represents a dataset, such as a data source or a column or row operation. The Scatterplot node is terminal as it does not output any information, so it cannot have any successive connections.
